The firm was established in 1954 by Solomon Lipman and has grown from a staff of one to over 70. The practice has continued the philosophy set by him over 50 years ago – total client involvement, a friendly working environment and the emphasis on client service.

In addition to the firm’s long standing tax and business services we have an insolvency department both in London and Cardiff.

Our multi branch team offers long term personal and business tax strategies for growing businesses, business plans to raise further finance, systems to cope with legislation and assistance in budgeting and forecasting to enable our clients to manage their personal affairs.

We are members of the UK 200 group of independent accountants which gives our clients assurance as to the quality and expertise of our service as well as the fact that we are up to date with all current legislation and our staff are properly trained.

ABOUT MICHAEL BERNSTEIN.

Michael qualified as a chartered accountant in 1976 and worked with top fifty firms. He then went on to started his own practice in 1982 with one client. Following that he then formed a new practice in 1985 with two partners and left in August 2008 to join Harris Lipman.

He has particular expertise in working with clients in the legal profession, in entertainment and in the property sector. he is a member of the UK200 group legal services group and land and property group and well as being a member of the ICAEW solicitors special interest group.
